The City Collector’s Office sends out annual bills in June and processes quarterly payments for Real Estate, Personal Property/Tangible, and Motor Vehicle taxes. The office works with banks, mortgage companies and credit card companies for the receipt of taxes and payments through escrow. The office also provides municipal lien certificates for real estate closings and mortgage refinancing. This office provides business license clearances and releases registration blocks with DMV.

AVAILABLE TO PROVIDENCE RESIDENTS IN 2025 PURSUANT TO R.I.G.L. 44-7-7

City of Providence taxpayers can now sign up for E-Billing, or Electronic Billing, for your 2025 Real Estate and Tangible tax bill. Go paperless and receive your annual tax bill and quarterly tax reminders via email without having to wait for your paper bill to arrive in the mail. It’s easy and convenient and helps the environment.

Sign up for eBilling by May 31,2025 to receive your 2025 tax bill electronically. All requests for paperless billing received after May 31, 2025 will be effective beginning with your 2026 tax bill.
